How GPTG Supports Grove Students
Grove Parent Teacher Group raises and responsibly stewards funds that expand opportunities for students at The Grove School. With the support of families, local businesses and community partners, we help fund meaningful experiences and programs that may not be fully covered by public school funding. These opportunities take learning beyond the classroom, strengthen the school community and help every student feel connected, supported and ready to grow.
Field Trips and Learning Beyond the Classroom
We believe that some of the most powerful learning happens when students step outside the classroom. From exploring local museums and science centers to attending live theater and environmental education centers, field trips provide hands-on experiences that ignite curiosity and bring curriculum to life.
GPTG helps cover transportation costs, admission fees, and specialized program costs to ensure that all Grove students have the opportunity to participate in these enriching off-campus adventures, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Athletics
Teamwork, resilience, and physical well-being are at the heart of our athletics programs. Whether it’s on the field, the court, or the track, Grove students build confidence and character while staying active and engaged with their peers.
Funding from GPTG supports the purchase of equipment, uniforms, and sports supplies, as well as league entry fees and facility rentals. Our goal is to maintain a robust athletics program that encourages sportsmanship and school spirit for every student-athlete.
Campouts and Community-Building Experiences
Strong connections between students, families, and staff are what make The Grove School special. Our community-building experiences, like the annual school campout, provide space for students to bond, learn outdoor skills, and create lifelong memories with their peers.
By funding shared meals, activities, and camp supplies, GPTG helps keep these events accessible and welcoming for all families. These experiences strengthen our school culture and foster a sense of belonging that supports every student's social and emotional growth.
